We offer complete programs for foreign dentists to bring them to the Netherlands. For example, we offer them a language course, arrange for them to be placed in a Dutch dental office and we relieve them of all the red tape. In the Netherlands, we have a shortage of dentists. So what we do is offer a win-win: we help the dentist who wants to start a new life and a new career in the Netherlands, and at the same time contribute to reducing the dental shortage.
We have our own language academy where we offer dentists online language courses. This is because dentists are required to take a language test. This saves our teachers a lot of time, because the students can make exercises that are automatically checked by Pluvo. I myself am primarily responsible for the development of new courses. I first invent them in Excel and then build them in Pluvo. This always involves blended training: the online language course is combined with a physical lesson.

We used to use a different platform, but aesthetically and functionally, it was no longer sufficient for us. I got to know Pluvo because someone recommended this platform in a Facebook group. I found out that everything we wanted could be done in Pluvo. The nice thing is that quite a few functionalities have been added in the past three years. Pluvo is always evolving and we are growing with you!
For example, the submission orders. These were there, but no feedback could be given on them yet. Now we can provide feedback and figures, which we think is a very nice feature.
The very first time I created a course, I made it from A to Z and then started testing. I only discovered it when certain things weren't useful or when it didn't look good. Now, when I create a new course, I first create a module. I'll get this tested and get feedback. I can therefore use that in turn for the development of the following modules.
In addition, my tip would be to keep it manageable. Make sure there is something that is good first, and build from there. If you immediately think too big, this can overwhelm you and therefore lead to delay.

For me personally, that is structure. For a learner, I think it is very unattractive and demotivating when the structure is unclear, when you have to search a lot and modules are not properly put together.
I think the most important thing is to use different types of content. For example, use images, use external links and find fun Youtube content that matches the topic. Make it as attractive and dynamic as possible. And also ensure retention, so offer opportunities to repeat subject matter, whether or not at a later time.
