About Pluvo
General questions about Pluvo: what it is, who it's for and how to get started.
Pluvo is a Dutch learning platform (LMS) that helps organizations train employees, manage certifications, and automate learning paths. From e-learning and workshops to compliance and reporting — everything in one environment.
E-learning software is a platform that allows organizations to create, deliver, and manage digital training. In Pluvo, you can build interactive lesson modules using the authoring tool — optionally with AI support — assign them to employees, and track results in real-time.
Pluvo scales with you from 20 to 20,000 users. The platform is designed to remain intuitive and organized, even across multiple locations, departments, or languages.
Training management software is a platform that allows organizations to plan, manage, and report on all training activities. In Pluvo, you can combine classroom training, e-learning, and blended learning paths in a single environment.

Yes. With Pluvo's multi-tenant structure, you can manage multiple departments or divisions from a single environment. Each division can have its own courses, users, and reports, while you maintain a central overview.
An online learning platform is software that allows organizations to offer training, courses, and assessments to employees digitally. In Pluvo, you manage all learning activities in one place: from e-learning and video to classroom sessions and practical assessments.
Absolutely. Pluvo scales from 20 to 20,000 employees. You choose the package that fits your organization and grow without technical barriers. The platform is quick to implement, even without an IT department.
A Learning Experience Platform (LXP) is software that provides employees with a personalized learning experience. Unlike a traditional LMS, an LXP focuses on the learning experience itself: interactive content, personalized paths, and self-paced learning.
Yes. Pluvo is used by accounting firms, consultancies, and legal service providers to train their staff. You can create custom learning paths and track progress for each employee or team.
A skill management system is software that allows organizations to map employee skills, identify gaps, and implement targeted development programs. In Pluvo, you combine competency management with learning and certification in a single platform.
Yes. Pluvo is used by educational institutions for both mandatory and voluntary professional development. You can create custom learning paths, link training hours, and track progress per employee in a single overview.
An LMS focuses on managing and assigning training. An LXP adds a personalized learning experience to that: content tailored to the employee, interactive elements, and insights into learning preferences. Pluvo combines both.

Learning & content creation
About having your e-learning built, learning design advice and your academy in your own branding.
In the learning journey, click the course module and choose Copy & translate under Actions. Choose the language and you can add context, for example which jargon to use, how formal the text should be, and which brand names should stay untranslated.
Pluvo creates a copy in that language and places it next to your original, which stays unchanged. Translating into more than 30 languages is included in the Complete plan. AI Translation Tool in the helpdesk walks you through the steps.
The following will be translated: text and content blocks, quiz questions and their answer options, feedback text, and section and lesson titles.
Images, videos, and other media files will not be translated. If there is text on screen or Dutch audio, you will need to replace that yourself. The full procedure can be found in AI Translation Tool.
Good enough to work with, but not good enough to publish blindly. Review the translation for technical terms and company-specific vocabulary before making it available to participants.
The clearer and simpler your Dutch source text, the better the result. Provide your terminology preferences when translating to reduce the need for post-editing. See AI Translation Tool.
Go to + New in the top right, select Lesson module, and click Start AI lesson module. Choose the language, describe what the module should cover, and set the number of lessons (1 to 10) and questions per lesson (1 to 4).
Within a few seconds, a module will be ready with a title, lessons containing text blocks, and quiz questions. From that point on, you can edit it yourself. See also the Pluvo Assistant in the help desk.
No. Pluvo's AI authoring tool generates a complete lesson module based on a document you upload. You customize the content, add questions, and publish. No technical skills required.
It is almost entirely in your description. State the subject, who the module is intended for, the level (beginner or advanced), and where the focus should lie. The more concrete you are, the less rewriting you will have to do later.
What you get back is a starting point, not a finished product. Check the content for accuracy before publishing. If you want to set up an entire course instead of just one module, How do I build a course with an MCP connection will guide you through the entire process.
No. Do not enter any personal data or confidential company information; processing is handled by OpenAI.
If you are working with sensitive material, build the module manually in the same authoring tool. The AI is a tool, not a mandatory path. See the Pluvo Assistant in the help center.
Pluvo provides reports for each employee, team, and department. You can see not only who has completed a training module, but also test scores and time spent per module. Export to Excel for management reviews.
Yes, you can. Customize the platform entirely to your liking with your own logo, brand colors, and URL. This way, employees experience Pluvo as an integral part of the organization.
Yes. Once delivered, you own the content. You can update, edit, or expand it yourself using the authoring tool, ensuring your e-learning stays current, even without us.
The e-learning course will be built in your brand style, and you will have the opportunity to review progress and provide feedback before the final delivery.
A report with concrete improvements, ranked by impact — no vague advice, just specific suggestions you can implement immediately.
That is possible. Optionally, we can implement the improvements for you, or we can guide your team in making the adjustments themselves within the authoring tool.
A practical, actionable plan you can apply directly in Pluvo, including suggestions for question types, interaction, and assessment—no thick reports.
Yes, you can combine the advice with our e-learning creation service, or get started yourself using the authoring tool.
Your academy runs on your own domain, for example academy.yourcompany.com, and all notifications and invitations are sent from your own email address.
We configure your brand identity once during the initial setup. If your branding changes later, we will update it to ensure your academy always stays up to date.
Onboarding & knowledge sharing
About onboarding new employees, upskilling and retaining knowledge within your team.
You build a learning path containing every step a new hire needs to complete: company information, systems, compliance training, and role-specific modules. New employees are automatically granted access based on their start date or job role.
Yes. You can link onboarding programs to job profiles, departments, or locations. New employees are automatically assigned the program that matches their role.
In Pluvo, you link skills to certificates. Those certificates are attached to a learning journey or session. Once the learning journey is completed or the session attended, the certificate is issued. Once an employee has earned all the certificates within a skill, the skill is achieved.
Yes. You can set up competency profiles, job descriptions, and skill levels in Pluvo. Our service team will help you translate your existing framework into the platform.
Yes. Every employee has a personal portfolio with an overview of completed and outstanding training. Managers and HR can view this via the reports or the participants tab of a learning path.
With a digital onboarding program, new employees go through safety instructions, company policies, and practical information before their first day. Managers can track progress via the reports.
Pluvo offers reports for each employee and team. You can see which modules have been completed, test scores, and time spent on each section. Use this data for probationary evaluations and HR reviews.
Through reports, you can see who has completed what per learning path or module, what test results were achieved, and how much time was spent. This helps you identify where extra attention is needed and allows you to adjust accordingly.
Pluvo offers reports by employee, team, and cost center. Export summaries to Excel for budget management and management reviews.
Subject matter experts create their own modules, videos, or articles in Pluvo. With the AI authoring tool, they convert existing documents into learning materials. Colleagues are assigned this content or can find it via the catalog.
Use the skills matrix to map out your team's current skills and identify what is needed. Pluvo links skill gaps to learning paths, allowing you to focus on upskilling or reskilling with measurable progress.
Yes. You build learning paths from modules and assign them by role, department, or individual employee. Employees complete the path at their own pace, and you track their progress via the dashboard.
By having experts capture their knowledge in Pluvo modules, videos, manuals, and best practices remain available, even if the creator changes roles or leaves the organization. This makes knowledge retention a seamless part of daily work.
You can build digital training courses for remote volunteers and automatically assign mandatory training to permanent staff, all in your own brand identity.
Reports on progress, certificates, and completion per employee can be exported and shared directly, for example with subsidy providers.
With Pluvo, you can train temporary workers digitally before they even step onto the work floor. You build onboarding programs for each client or industry and send them out automatically when a contract starts.
Sessions & flexible learning
About organising sessions and setting up learning for rotating shifts and multiple languages.
Yes. Pluvo supports blended learning: combine classroom sessions with online modules in a single program. Manage locations, dates, and participants centrally.
In Pluvo, you can create three types of sessions: in-person (with a location), online (via a link or Microsoft Teams) and hybrid. For each type, you set your own capacity, registration deadline and registration options.
When creating or editing a session, you add a learning journey, course module or e-learning as pre- or post-work. Registered participants automatically see this in their learning environment.
After the meeting, indicate the attendance status for each participant. This information is saved to the participant's profile and is visible in reports. Certificates are issued manually; automatic issuance is only available via a learning path.
Yes. You can set a capacity limit for each meeting. You can also enable a waiting list. Anyone who registers after the maximum has been reached will be added to the waiting list. If someone cancels, the first person on the waiting list will automatically move up.
In Pluvo, you can combine blended learning by linking e-learning modules to meetings. Participants prepare online, attend a live session, and finish with a digital test or evaluation. Everything in one learning path.
Employees learn at their own pace and time. The learning offering is available 24/7 on any device. For sessions, you set up multiple time slots so employees can choose one that fits their shift schedule.
Yes. Pluvo runs in the browser on any device: a personal phone, a tablet on the shop floor, or a shared screen in the breakroom. No separate app or installation is required. Drivers, warehouse and production staff, operators, and site managers can complete their e-learning, toolbox meetings, and safety instructions at their own pace—whenever and wherever it suits them, such as before they head onto the construction site.
Pluvo works on any device with a browser: smartphone, tablet, or a shared screen in the breakroom. Drivers and warehouse staff can complete e-learning at their own pace, whenever and wherever it suits them.

Employees such as machine operators and site supervisors complete the necessary safety training before entering the construction site, through toolbox meetings and instructions on their phones.
Compliance & certification
About mandatory training, certificates, reminders and audits.
You can manage all types of certifications in Pluvo: VCA, BHV, HACCP, ADR, BIG registrations, CPE credits, and industry-specific certificates. Set the validity period and reminder timeframe for each certification type. If a certificate is about to expire, both the employee and their manager will receive an automatic notification.
Yes. You can record which certificates and qualifications are valid for each employee — such as VCA, forklift certification, HACCP, or first aid. Pluvo automatically flags expired certificates and links to the appropriate refresher training.
Yes. You can track which certificates are valid for each employee—such as ADR, Code 95, forklift licenses, or first aid—and link the corresponding training courses to them. Pluvo automatically sends reminders before the expiration date.
Yes. You can record the valid BIG registration for each employee and link the corresponding training requirements. Pluvo automatically sends reminders as expiration dates approach, ensuring re-registration is never overlooked.
Yes. You can assign CPE credits to courses, and Pluvo tracks how many credits each employee has earned. Upon completion, a certificate is sent automatically. It is the ideal solution for professions with mandatory continuing education requirements.

Yes. You can assign mandatory training by department, job role, or individual. Pluvo tracks deadlines, sends reminders, and reports on completion status. You’ll always be audit-ready.
Create safety training courses in Pluvo and assign them by role, department, or location. Employees complete the training at their own pace. Pluvo tracks progress and sends reminders for mandatory renewals.
Yes. For each certificate or certification type, you can set how many days, weeks, or months before the expiration date a reminder should be sent. Employees receive a notification in their learning environment and optionally via email. Managers also receive a notification, along with an overview of all upcoming expirations within their team.
Yes. For each certificate, you set how many days, weeks or months before the expiry date a reminder is sent. Both the employee and their manager receive a notification.
Pluvo tracks which training courses each employee has completed, when, and with what results. You can export reports by certification type to Excel. This ensures you always have an up-to-date and complete overview ready for audits or inspections.
Yes. Pluvo supports the registration of accreditation points and training hours. You can link points to courses, and certificates are sent automatically upon completion. This ensures you are always prepared for audits and inspections.
Yes. With the AI authoring tool, you can quickly create compliance training from existing documents or policy papers. You can also purchase ready-made training courses via the Pluvo catalog, such as GDPR and integrity training.
Pluvo automatically monitors the validity of VCA safety, BHV emergency response and machine certificates, and sends timely reminders to employees and managers.
Real-time dashboards and reports show exactly who has completed their training, and automated reminders ensure that certificates never expire.
BHV, first aid, and other mandatory training courses are brought together in one clear platform. Courses are automatically assigned based on role and location, and can also be completed via mobile.
Pluvo tracks the validity of certifications for each employee and sends automatic reminders before they expire, all in a single overview that you can share with clients.
Integrations & technology
About integrations with your HR system, SSO, SCORM and other technical matters.
Yes. Pluvo integrates with AFAS, SAP, ADP, and other HR systems. Employee data, job changes, and onboarding or offboarding updates synchronize automatically.
With MCP, an AI assistant such as Claude, ChatGPT or Le Chat talks directly to your Pluvo academy. You ask it for a course module there and the setup appears in Pluvo, with no copying and pasting. You finish and publish it in Pluvo itself.
You need a Complete plan for this and edit rights on at least one course. Getting started with Pluvo MCP explains step by step how to set up the connection.
Yes. Pluvo integrates with AFAS, SAP, ADP, and other HR systems. Employee data, job changes, and competency profiles synchronize automatically.
Yes: create lesson modules, add and reorder chapters, write and edit text, create questions such as multiple-choice, open-ended, and fill-in-the-blank, upload images, adjust the design, and translate a module.
No: enroll participants or view their progress, issue certificates, manage payment settings or subscriptions, set up email notifications, configure learning path conditions, or generate reports. The assistant cannot perform any action for which your own account lacks permissions.
The full list can be found in Getting started with Pluvo MCP.
Yes. Pluvo synchronizes employee data via API integrations with commonly used HR systems. New employees appear in Pluvo automatically, and departed employees are deactivated. No manual work required.
The AI can only do what your account is allowed to do: no access to other academies and none to participant data. The connection runs via a secured URL tied to your academy.
You decide which assistant you connect and when you switch the connection off again. Everything that happens is visible in Pluvo, so you can see what was done and undo it. Only connect AI tools you trust.
You can read more about permissions and access in Getting started with Pluvo MCP.
Pluvo offers integrations via API and supports SSO. This allows you to automatically synchronize employee data and avoid duplicate administration. Contact us to discuss the options for your system.
Claude is the easiest to set up and runs the smoothest, but requires at least a Pro subscription. Mistral's Le Chat is free, fast, and GDPR-compliant, though it can be slightly less accurate with very large courses. ChatGPT is reliable from the Plus tier onwards, but requires confirmation for every adjustment.
Microsoft Copilot fits into a Microsoft 365 environment, but runs through Copilot Studio and requires an IT administrator. The comparison per tool can be found in Getting started with Pluvo MCP; for the Microsoft route, see Connecting Pluvo to Microsoft Copilot Studio.
Still unsure? Schedule a call, and we'll help you figure out what works best for your organization.
Pluvo offers integrations via API and supports SSO protocols such as SAML and OAuth. This allows you to synchronize user data with your existing systems and log in using your current accounts.
Pluvo supports SAML 2.0 and OAuth for single sign-on. Employees log in using their existing government account, without needing a separate password. The connection is set up once by your IT department.
Yes. Pluvo is ISO 27001 certified, runs on European servers, and is GDPR compliant. Data is encrypted both at rest and in transit. SSO via SAML allows employees to log in using their existing government account.
Pluvo is continuously working on accessibility and follows the WCAG 2.1 guidelines. The learning environment is compatible with screen readers and keyboard navigation. Please contact us for the current accessibility statement.

Implementation & support
About setup, go-live and the guidance you get from us.
That depends on your needs. A standard implementation can be live within a few weeks. For more complex projects involving integrations, migrations, and custom work, we guide you every step of the way. You will always have a dedicated contact person to lead you through the process.
Most organizations are up and running within a few weeks. Pluvo’s implementation team assists with the setup, from user management and SSO integration to creating your first training modules.
With Pluvo's AI authoring tool, you can turn an existing document into an interactive training module in minutes. A complete onboarding program can be up and running within a few weeks. Our implementation team will assist with the setup.
We begin by inventorying your requirements and technical environment, using this to create an implementation plan. We then work together to configure the environment—setting up user groups, catalogs, and automated assignments—and handle the technical integrations.
Yes. If anything changes within your organization later on, we can simply adjust the setup.
We offer both on-site and online workshops. A session typically lasts half a day, but we can tailor this to meet your organization's specific needs.
Yes, train-the-trainer programs are also available: internal trainers not only learn the platform, but also how to effectively teach others to use it, ensuring knowledge stays within your organization.
Pricing & subscription
About costs, subscriptions and what Pluvo means for your organisation.
Pluvo offers three plans: Basic, Plus, and Complete. You can see what is included in each plan in the feature overview. Pricing depends on the size of your organization and the plan that best fits your needs. We can discuss this during a consultation.
